About VIDYA:
VIDYA is a non-profit NGO. Founded in 1985 by Ms. Rashmi Mishra, it began with her teaching a class of 5 girls in her home on the campus of IIT Delhi. Now it offers programs in five major cities across India, in some of the poorest neighborhoods of Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai and Bangalore.VIDYA believes in an integrated approach to power and education.VIDYA believes that education should involve not just the child, but the family and community.
What we do?
We mainly focus on the students of class 4th to 10th. We try to develop the interest of children in studies and perform activity based teaching. Through activities, we try to drive their interest in scientific facts and theories.
Many extra-curricular activities, like music, dance, art and crafts, festival celebrations, competitions are performed focusing on volunteer-student bond.

Important Note:
Bulk hour policy will be followed and hours will be provided on the quality of work and regularity.
Volunteers have to be regular, and present on their respective day.
You have to be present at campus/in Delhi during the volunteering.
