Looking for some help understanding what the below error is or what the corrective action is to fix.

[root@~]#  /opt/nsscache/bin/nsscache update

WARNING:NssDbPasswdHandler:verify failed: written keys missing from the on-disk cache!

WARNING:NssDbPasswdHandler:verification failed, exiting

Thanks in advance.

Yow. Apologies for the late reply!

The error means that after the update, the cache written to disk is missing some records, because the list of keys (i.e. the usernames) in that cache file don't match the list of keys in memory that were supposed to be written.

You can add the -d flag to add extra debugging information to stderr.

The error message is only in the nssdb cache backend, though; I don't recommend using nssdb and instead please use libnss-cache and change the cache to 'cache' instead of 'nssdb'.

I just foun that the example nsscache.conf still suggests nssdb, though, so I'll commit a fix for that.
