IMPORTANT NOTICE: NSS Hours

Hi,

Greetings from NSSIITD.

Please find attached a list of entry numbers and corresponding NSS hours. The students who have completed their NSO hours are also marked "S" in the list. The list contains no data about NCC hours and incomplete NSO hours.

In case of any discrepancy in NSS hours send an email to ho...@nssiitd.in with the subject "Entry no_hours query_2013". In case you want to know status of your NSO hours, please contact the BSA office. 

As per consultation with Dean academics, the remaining hours must be completed by the end of mid semester break failing the accounts would be frozen and no further requests will be entertained.

In case of any discrepancy in NSS hours send an email to ho...@nssiitd.in with the subject "Entry no_hours query_2013". In case you want to know status of your NSO hours, please contact the BSA office.

Here are some volunteering opportunities currently available through which you can complete your hours:

1. Data Collection work: In a Waste Management project in collaboration with the Delhi Govt. s\Students would have to conduct field trips for data collection. Contact: Anuj Kumar (8373901079)
2. Munirka Teaching project: Teaching of children in Munirka slums on weekends. Contact: Siddharth Garg (9868857566)
3. Bhatti mines Adult teaching project for women in the village. Time: 1-3 pm, Saturdays and Sundays. Contact: Dev Priyam (8510821458)
4. Volunteering in senior citizen and children homes: In Appna Parivar Children Home and Rana Old Age Home. Contact Shashank Bansal (9899262435)
5. Mess teaching:  Teaching of mess workers in various hostels. Contact: Anuj Kumar (8373901079)
6. Jamghat Workshops and Volunteering in Jamghat NGO having focus both on education and extra-curricular activities for children. Contact: Hasratpreet Kaur(7838318021)
7. Environment Related Activities: We have regular environment exposure trips, discussions and projects. Students with enthusiastic ideas are also welcome. Contact: Siddharth Ranjan(7827823235)
8. Medicine Baba: Database entry and sorting or collected medicines on weekends. Contact Vikas Suthar (9582189654)
9. National Assosiation for Blind(NAB): Vounteering in NAB centers (Hauz Khas and RK Puram) to teach, record books, or edit e-books for visually impaired students. If interested contact :Revant Soni(8447499594)
10. Vidya: A chance to teach underprivileged children of 1st to 10th class who could not afford good education. The venue is KV, IITD. Timings: 3PM to 5PM (Mon-Fri) Contact: Anjali(8586930624)
11. Aarohan  Teaching kids from Aarohan NGO (these kids reside in Malviya Nagar slum area and go to class 11th and 12th) on the campus. Contact: Khyatti Gupta (9891123672)
12. DNip Care: Extending emotional support to long-term, terminally ill, bedridden patients by visiting them at their homes/ hospitals. Time: Weekends. If interested contact :Revant Soni(8447499594)
