we have cntacted NSS na, why dont we ask them officially regd how much they pay to other NSS so that we can directly filter the good ones?

That can only happen if they agree to help . Also, we can judge them by their activities on their websites or facebook pages .

We had some discussion over this in the past. I am quoting my post from a thread on this group.

"Here (http://nss.nic.in/writereaddata/tenders/Img286.pdf) is the list of NSS chapters all over India. Though its not of much use but still institutes can be shortlisted from this.

Here (http://nss.nic.in/writereaddata/tenders/Img245.pdf) (pg 7-10) another list can be found (which is most probably of the active chapters). The list might help.

For shortlisting of the active chapters the awardees for Indira Gandhi NSS may be considered(http://nss.nic.in/awardees.asp) though I haven't heard of most the institutes."

Aniket had mentioned how much they pay to other NSS. The no. of units given in the 1st link is proportional to the amount given to each unit.
