About Pravah:

Pravah is an organization based in New Delhi, India, working to impact issues of social justice through youth citizenship action. Pravah believes that sustainable social change emanates from individuals. Change them or their orientation and the system will change. Developing in young people the relevant values, attitudes and skills, will therefore bring about long-term changes.


About SMILE:

Pravah's SMILE (Students' Mobilization Initiative for Learning through Exposure) programme offers various opportunities to embark on a journey to engage deeply with social issues and act for social change.  SMILE is a programme that runs in colleges across Delhi and creates opportunities for young people between ages of 17-25 years to understand themselves and the society better. It's a journey form "me to we" and "self to society", where you will be testing your boundaries and extending them. 

SMILE internship is an exposure to a rural or a semi urban area in India to understand issues impacting the local community and society in general. You will be placed with one of the partner organizations working outside Delhi & will have to travel to an unfamiliar community to work on an issue of your interest. All this during your Summer Break for 3- 4 weeks including an orientation camp.

1) You can avail towards credits of either NSS or NEN201 through this internship.
