   Independence Day Celebrations

Independence Day, the day when India awoke to freedom. The day when the tricolor flew high, and danced in fresh air, danced with millions of happy hearts, who finally chanted:  FREEDOM!!

So what can IIT Delhi do?

Set up an example for others. When the whole of India would have slept off, it's the innovative IITians who will change, and salute their national heroes! So here we are, announcing 3 major events that will follow soon, as part of our Independence Day celebrations :

1. Movie Screening:

2. The Salute:

(At the stroke of midnight hour)

At the stroke of midnight hour, when India awoke to life and freedom, we promise you that you'll breathe something fresh as you feel the wind at Wind-T!! We will organize a peaceful celebration of Independence day at Wind-T to find the real meaning of independence for us and to pay a tribute to those valiant souls who fought bravely for our nation's independence.

To felicitate your movement to Wind-T, a troop will peacefully start from SAC circle at 11:15 p.m. and Girls' hostel at 11:30 pm. Join our "राष्ट्रभक्तों की टोली"(Troop of Nation Lovers), as they take you to wind-t for independence day celebrations in a unique way!

Time: Stroke of midnight, August 15, 2016

Venue: Wind-T

Assemble At: SAC Circle( For Boys) and Himadri/Kailash(For Girls)

3. Dnip Care Visit :

DNip Care is Voluntary Palliative Care Group in the bustling metropolis of Delhi to care the long term, bedridden, terminally ill patients in and around Delhi. We will be visiting Delhi Sate Cancer Hospital to celebrate the Independence Day with the patients. The volunteers would be dancing, singing, playing any instrument of their choice or any short skit/act that they would love to show.
