Subject: [NVCfunstuff] ANGELS LIST (UPDATED DECEMBER 7TH)

Hello Everyone:

In order to fully benefit from Angels List it is a good idea to scroll down through the entire list, so you can plan your schedule accordingly.  Please also scroll down to Angels Feather Notes at the very bottom of this list.  The "Feather Notes" are not actually events.  They might be a prayer request, request for help or donations, information on wonderful products or services.

I have approximately forty more events to add for next week on and into the future.  Sorry I could not get them onto this Angels List.  Stay tuned.

I know that many of you have lost loved ones and that holiday time can be especially difficult.  If this is the case for you, or someone close to you then please take a look at the event hosted by the Franciscan Renewal Center on December 7th through 9th.  Please also look at the service that Unity of Phoenix is hosting on December 8th.

If any of you have special prayer requests, please forward them onto me.  Listed below is the Unity Silent Prayer Line information:

Contact Us at Silent Unity

You can reach us any time of the night or day by calling, writing, or faxing us using the information below. Every request sent to us is kept confidential and receives loving, compassionate attention. It is our honor to pray with you whenever you want the support of praying friends.

Call the prayer line:
English: 1-816-969-2000
Spanish: 1-816-969-2020

Write us:
Silent Unity
1901 NW Blue Parkway
Unity Village, MO 64065-0001

Fax us:
English: 1-816-251-3554
Spanish: 1-816-251-3508

I believe in the power of prayer as I know that many of you do.  I would like to add to the Angels Feather Notes a listing of many different prayer lines.  If any of you know of any others, please forward them to me.  If you are so inclined, please always scroll down to the Angel Feather Notes and send loving energy and prayers to the souls listed.

I want to direct your attention to an item on Angels Feather Notes regarding Pappas Schools sent to me by Barbara.  I would like to ask each of you to take a moment and place a much needed phone call, or write a heart felt letter to keep the schools open.  Children are our future!

Please also note, Julia's and Sunny's Christmas parties.  Both are still going to happen rain, sleet or snow.  Julia would be blessed by anyone's assistance the day of the party.  Please contact her directly at jgenevy@juno. com   if you are able to come early and assist her.  I went over there last night and we where able to get a great deal done.  Depending on the weather she may need help moving the food tables etc.  Also, if it is raining please be considerate and wipe your feet or take your shoes off before entering Julia's home.  She has off-white carpet and we want to honor her beautiful home.

I plan on attending both of the parties along with part of the Ron Paul rally.  Take care reading Sunny's party description.  There is the wonderful raffle, request for food and old cell phone donations.

Please be sure to scroll down to December 23rd, there is a request for donations of food/beverages for the Child Crisis Center.

Keep in mind Angels List does not discriminate against any faith or culture.  It started out as a singles list and now it has evolved into a list of many angel feathers.  If you have an event that is social, spiritual, a charity event, community related, cultural, dining, cooking, classes, exercise, hiking, yoga, anything that will help our world on a compassionate level, an event that will bless the animals/pets then please forward it to me and place in the Re: line FOR ANGLES LIST.

On a note about some parties that are having white elephant gift exchanges, I just want to share with you something that happened to me last year.  I attended a party that had the white elephant gift exchange and there was a woman who got the gift that I brought.  I had placed in a bag a little crystal angel (collect little angels throughout the year knowing I will give them to someone who needs to be reminded...that they are not alone), a copy of a meditation CD that had blessed my life, a beautiful little prayer book and a little holiday card with wishes of blessings for who ever got my gift.  She had seen me walk into the party with the little angel bag, so she knew that I was the who brought it.  She pulled me aside and thanked me so much for the little gifts that I had placed into the bag.  She said that she had been divorced for many years, had no children and no family left living.  She told me that the gift she got at the exchange would be the only Christmas gift that she had received that year.  I told her that she was blessed with many gifts including a wonderful thankful heart of gold.  Well I am a bit touchy feeling, so we hugged and she is has been a new friend of mine for the last year.  I know many people say just bring something funny, or something laying around the house.  I am asking each of you to maybe make that something that is lying around the house be something spiritual and heart felt.  It might be the only gift of love that a soul who feels alone gets during holiday time.  You don't have to spend any money.  You can make something, or maybe there is music or a book that you have already enjoyed and are ready to share with someone else.  Just open up your heart and the perfect gift will come to you to both give and receive at the same time.  It is ok to bring something funny, but please include something special as well.

Please feel free to forward list onto your own distribution list.  If you know of anyone who would like to receive Angels List, please have them send me an email and how they know you.  I will be happy to add them to the distribution list.

On another note, please R.S.V.P. directly to the person listed on the actual event, unless the event indicates that I am hosting it.

Here is something beautiful that my earth angel sister Alyce sent to me.  Be sure to google the author she is amazing and inspirational.

"To know others is Wisdom,  To know the self is Enlightenment,  To Master others requires force, To master the self requires strength.  To be happy where you are is to be content,  To be content is to be eternally present.  To be eternally present is The Way.  Empty yourself,  Let your mind rest,   All the things of the world rise and fall,  While the Soul watches their return.  Everything grows and flourishes and then returns to its Source.   To return to the Source is stillness,  This is unchanging, eternal.  To know this constancy is insight.   To know this constancy frees the mind.     A free mind brings an open Heart .  Open hearted, you will act royally.   Being royal you attain the Divine.  Being Divine you will be your True Self.  Your Eternal Self.  The body dies, the Soul will never pass away." Written by:  Dadi Janki.

Lots of love and many blessings to you,

Jeanette

 Julia's Annual Singles Christmas Party

Date: Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Cover Charge: $5.00

 Dec. 8 (Sat) Julia's Annual Singles Christmas Party - 7:30 p.m. $5 cover charge

Mark your calendars, this is THE BIG ONE, folks, at a large central Scottsdale party house. 160 people came last year from outdoor clubs, social groups, and various Unity Church singles groups. Bring BYOB and a "quality" potluck dish to share. "Quality" means no packaged cookies, snacks, chips and salsa types of donations, and please no grocery store-bought desserts ! (Costco OK.) Kudos to those who bring a main dish, crock pot plug-ins and table-top grill available. The hopelessly "potluck challenged" can e-mail Julia jgenevy@juno. com to request painless, no-cook items on her party needs list that you could bring, instead of food.

DRESS WARMLY, assuming no rain, party will be outdoors, your cover charge purchased several firepits for warmth. This time live music is planned ! Bring your music makers, bells and shakers to join them.

DIRECTIONS: Take Camelback Rd one mile east of Hayden to just before Camelback dead ends into the Pima Rd wall, turn right on 87th Street. Party house is located at 4433 N. 87th Street , Scottsdale , one house S. of Camelback, red brick house next to the alley on left. Warning: time and time again, people who used Mapquest, Yahoo, and other internet maps and directions (written to get you lost and misleading maps!), NEVER found the party house and had to go back home to a lonely night with their uneaten potluck dish.

A $5. cover charge pays for party enhancements, yard and carpet cleaning, damage, etc. Proceeds go to two different no-kill animal shelters. So, please be your usual honorable self and bring a $5 bill for the collection jar at the entrance. Also, respect labeled trash recycling sorting boxes. No RSVP necessary for you and your friends, but those who sign up with Julia in advance jgenevy@juno. com to volunteer to help clean up on Sunday at 1:30 pm, get to waive BOTH the cover charge AND the potluck donation. Your help will keep future parties at this location on the calendar.

Be sure to check out Michael's web site, www.ChannelFortheMa sters.com  if you have not already done so--He recently added a new section, titled, "Channeled Material", in which he has included some recent Channelings/ Transmissions he has received from Ashtar, about "dramatic, behind-the-scenes" events that have been going on throughout the world and future events.

Also, for those who have never seen the complete "NASA Star People Characteristics" List, check it out at his web site--and see how many of these you might happen to have!

Purchase a Wonderful Gift for yourself, or a loved one this Holiday season, to get insight into your Mission & Purpose, as well as upcoming, future opportunities that the Masters want you to be aware of, so that you can take greater advantage of them, as they come up in your life.

One of the Special features of these longer Transformational sessions, is the very powerful "Higher Light Encodements" , that are also uniquely different for each Light workers experiencing the session, which the Masters place on the tape of the sessions which is recorded, so that when one plays back these Empowering sessions, this helps Activate one's own DNA/RNA the more times you play it back, and helps speed up this whole process so much quicker.

And for those who have had a past session(s) with Michael, treat yourself this Holiday Season, and for the upcoming New Year, with a new Update Channeling session.  For every new session that he does for a person, the Masters place newer "Higher Light Encodements" on these new tapes, and this helps to continue to intensify this ongoing Transformational Empowering process!

Introducing the First-Ever Film on Self-Help Icon and
Affirmations Pioneer
~
Louise L. Hay ~

What if you are creating your life story with the very
thought you are thinking right now?

Many people have changed their lives, turned financial
ruin into abundant prosperity, transformed troubling
relationships into loving bonds, and even healed stubborn
physical maladies.

These people aren't scholars, scientists, prophets, or
millionaires. They're just like you and me--everyday
people who face heavy challenges throughout their
lives, whether it's their jobs, their families, or their inner
selves.

How did they do it?

They discovered the wisdom of self-help pioneer Louise
Hay and learned how to use the power of a single thought.

Louise Hay, compassionate teacher, renowned author,
and much-loved founder of Hay House will teach you
how to create your future in the first-ever film about her
extraordinary life and amazing life work in
You Can
Heal Your Life: The Movie.

We have been selected to be one of the first places to view her film...

It has just been released on December 1.

We will have copies for sale for 29.95 and for a limited time only

you will get a free perpetual calendar by Louise Hay with your purchase.

See you there!

For neck-biting laughter, sink your teeth into this light-hearted romp through a familiar horror classic! Creator Rick Abbot spins the legend of everyone?s favorite vampire into a hilarious musical farce, complete with howling wolves, dancing vampires and catchy songs. With a comedic jab at Bram Stoker?s classic tale, this batty spoof centers around a madhouse run by Dr. Seward. When the blood-craving Count Dracula moves into the neighborhood and sets his fangs on Seward?s daughter, crazed vampire hunter Van Helsing tries to warn the household. But his good intentions fly out the window and he and the Count square off for a musical battle between good and evil. Bloody good songs like I Love the Night, Stupid Superstition and The Tippy, Tippy Tap of Love are sure to stab you in the funny bone! Angela Yates directs.

Announcing a new event for The Phoenix Singles Adventure & Exploration Meetup Group!

What: Dueling Piano Night Out

When: Saturday, January 12, 7:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Event Description:
http://photos2. meetupstatic. com/photos/ event/b/3/ 8/8/event_ 945960.jpeg

Well we did this a while back and it was a huge success and now we even have more members so I am sure we will get at least 50 people to this awesome event. We will get there at 7pm which was a little early but by 9pm you couldn't get a seat anywhere so we were lucky to have seats up front. Come and join all the fun. We will be getting a bite to eat at around 6pm nearby. Here is what the website says:

For those who've never been to The Big Bang there's one thing you should know: at The Big Bang, you're the star of the show. It's called a Sing-along Piano Bar for a reason. You will sing, dance, and laugh...a lot!

Every night the show comes to life at The Big Bang when our entertainers take a seat on stage behind two grand pianos and combine music, comedy and audience participation to create a fast-paced, high-energy show that's unlike anything you've ever experienced.

"The Big Bang is definitely a blast."

"...the most fun I've ever had in a bar. I walked in planning to stay for an hour, and stayed all night!"

"...an instant cure for shyness...how did I end up on stage?"

So I hope you will join me at this event. If you are interested in getting something to eat first please say so in the RSVP and we can pick a place on Mill to eat.

This place gets packed and LOUD so it is NOT the event to come to if you plan to mingle. I know in the past some people have shown up late and couldn't find us, we try to sit up front but like I mentioned the place is very noisy and crowded so it will be very hard to find us unless you arrive before 8pm.

JANUARY 13TH

THE ARIZONA EMBRACE 2008: PRAYERS OF PEACE

Over 1,000 Arizonans expected to gather, circling state capitol in symbolic hug

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Interfaith Movement (AIFM) and the Arizona Department Of Peace Campaign (AZDOP) invite all Arizonans to gather for one hour from 2 to 3 p.m. on Jan. 13, 2008, on the eve of the opening of the second session of the 48th Arizona State Legislature at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix - to envision the year 2008 as one of peace, prosperity, bipartisanship, and cooperation for all elected officials, constituents, and all Arizonans. After greetings, prayers, songs, and music are heard, all gathered participants will form a circle around the entire Capitol building - to place our collective embrace around the state capitol as a symbolic group hug for Arizona, its leadership, and all Arizonans. Welcome activities begin at 1:30 p.m., and the event program commences at 2 p.m. on the House Of Representatives Lawn of the state capitol at 1700 W. Washington, Phoenix, AZ 85007.

The energy of this positive and uplifting action is intended to inspire our leaders and all our citizens to allow their highest selves to shine forth in 2008 and beyond, and to work together collaboratively to create the harmonious, prosperous and stable future that we all wish for our state and our Co-Hosts Terri Mansfield, Executive Director of the Arizona Dept. of Peace (AZDOP) Campaign and Reverend Paul Eppinger of the Arizona Interfaith Movement (AIFM)  will lead the program.   Guest speakers include Arizona State Representatives  Mark Anderson and Kyrsten Sinema, and Jannah Scott from the Governor's Office. Music will be provided by First Institutional Baptist Church Choir, Renee Morgan Brooks, and Steve McCarty. Prayers will be conducted in the Jewish faith by Robert Kravitz, in the Muslim faith by Imam Shamsid-Deen, and also in Sikh, Buddhist, Catholic, Baptist and Mormon faiths. Uqualla, a Havasupai spiritual leader,  will perform a traditional tribal blessing.
"This event is an ideal representation of what our Arizona Department of Peace movement is all about - recognizing our common humanity and coming together to reach out in a caring spirit of cooperation to find solutions to community challenges, in an inclusive, pro-active way," explains Terri Mansfield. "With this symbolic act, we are embracing our leadership here in Arizona, and everyone who lives here - and calling upon each person to be that positive change they want to see in the world."  "Like the Arizona Interfaith Movement, this event invites everyone to be a participant in helping to shape the world according to the highest values of each individual's personal faith. At the heart of all of the Holy Scriptures of the world is the dictate to love one another and to practice the Golden Rule," adds Reverend Eppinger.  The event will culminate in one big "hug" around the State Capitol Building from 1,000 people all at once, acting as one. This moving act of love and hope should make a great visual for media, especially as an aerial shot.

EVERYONE IS INVITED...PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

Maui Spiritual Retreat with Tina Sacchi
January 16 -  January 22, 2008

Aloha!  I just came back facilitating a Spiritual Retreat in Maui with 12 beautiful people and I've been called to do another one!  Are you part of my next group?

We had a blast!  Maui has a wonderful, sweet, blissful energy. It's also peaceful, serene and cleansing. Our time was so magical and I want more! And with a dozen of you that feel the calling too.

This trip is spiritually driven and so being open and flexible are key ingredients.  I'm planning some wonderful activities that include:
·    Whale Watching at the height of the Whale season via a catamaran cruise through the Pacific Whale organization
·    Sacred/native site(s) and activities for renewing and purification.
·    Hawaiian sweat lodge-gentle and not as hot as Native American sweat lodges. More cleansing, releasing and rejuvenation for us.
·    Zipline in Haleakala Crater-- Imagine yourself soaring over gulches and through the trees along the slopes of one of the world's largest volcanoes, Haleakala . . . http://www.skylineh awaii.com/ <http://www.skylineh awaii.com/>   (Right now there is availability. )
·    Beach time/snorkeling/ shopping.Fun! Fun! Fun!
·    Even some quiet time for yourself
·    Meditations
·    Etc.  .Whatever Spirit guides us to do
The retreat center is Hale Hoomana (which means House of Empowerment) in Makawao, Maui . The natives consider this area a very high spiritual and healing location on Maui . The cost is $1,444 which includes all our meals (5 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 6 dinners), lodging (we will be the only group at the retreat center and accommodations are lodging style-sharing room and bathroom), all ground transportation in Maui.even from the airport as I am renting 3 cars so that we can be mobile and flexible, and activities mentioned above. None of the activities are mandatory for attendance.  The dates are Wednesday, January 16 leaving on a noon flight and returning Tuesday, January 22 at 8:25am.  I was able to get a (non-stop) group flight rate from US Airways which costs $392.30 per person if 10 or more people book on the same flight. Total cost is $1,444 plus $392.30 airfare. This retreat will be full and booked with a dozen people.

If you're interested in this and your Spirit is saying you need this, I would act now for a couple of reasons. My last retreat was booked within days of my email.  And I am booking it all on Tuesday, October 9 so deposits need to be submitted by then. (Please note: any remaining spots not booked by October 9, the price goes up to $1,555 for anyone who comes after..since I need to pay some fees to secure the spots.)

The retreat center has a great energy as well. The grounds are beautiful and set in a lush mountain location with fruit trees and tropical flowers. The room accommodations are clean, beautifully decorated and again, great energy. Here is the website to explore: www.halehoomana. com

Maui is very expensive to vacation and even to live there. I was able to get group rates on many things.  So almost everything is included to alleviate any extra spending.  Therefore all deposits and monies paid are non refundable under any circumstances since we are all benefiting with group rates.  If you decide to rent your own car, I cannot reimburse any monies toward transportation. If you decide not to attend any activities, I cannot reimburse anything either. Also activities are subject to change.

This is the payment schedule:

October 9-- $540 first deposit (which includes $500 deposit for retreat, meals, activities, etc. and $40 deposit for airfare)

October 20-- balance of airfare $352.30

November 20-- $500

December 20--$444 All balances paid. Trip paid in full.

Again there will be no refunds under any circumstances should you not be able to attend after any money has been paid.  Therefore, if you think there maybe a problem in attending, please think it through. We can't have any uncertainties since we want the costs to be low. We also want to make this trip as smooth as possible for everyone. We're dealing with group rates all the way around and there are restrictions. . however, this produces savings for all of us. and a great, wonderful, joyous time.

If you're interested, you can email me or call me 623-261-6167 ASAP.even today as I am finishing the details on this trip so we can submit deposits on October 9.

If you're tingling all over and are already dreaming of this soothing and exuberant retreat, you're spirit is probably longing for this.and is nudging you there..are you listening?

Mahalo,
Tina

We will be doing many hands on activities to help you develop your intuition, heal issues from the past, discover your soul purpose, connect with deceased loved ones, play with the Angels  and awaken your true spirit. Everyone that attends this weekend will have an opportunity to participate in a healing ceremony among the red rocks of Sedona. We will also be going on an outing to the prayer garden in Sedona and enjoying a wonderful ritual of honoring those in our lives and blessing those that have transitioned.

We have already booked several cabins and the main Ponderosa cabin as well. The price for the full retreat begins at $377, (which includes your cabin for 3 nights, breakfast both mornings and the hands on workshop.  SPECIAL ANGEL FEATHER NOTES:

PRAYER REQUESTS:

PRAYER REQUEST SUBMITTED BY FAITH BENCOMO:

Dear Friends,

Please take a moment to pray for Michelle, Isaac, and their family, light a candle using the following link, then repost.

http://www.grateful ness.org/ candles/candles. cfm?l=eng the group name is Isaac.

I received this e-mail yesterday.

"My Dear Friends and Family,

It is with incredible sadness that I write you. Michelle gave birth to Isaac Arthur yesterday at 1:19pm and he passed away last evening. Isaac weighed 9-11 and was just beautiful. I am writing this so that I can get the information out to all of you as efficiently as possible and to answer the questions that many of you have asked. Michelle had a very normal labor with no signs of Isaac being in distress. To put it simply, Isaacs shoulders got stuck and we were unable to help Michelle get him out quickly. We performed a complete resuscitation with the help of her friend/neighbor (a retired neonatologist) . Isaac had a strong heart rate very quickly, got his color back very quickly and was transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital. After some tests, it was determined that Isaac had no brain activity. Isaac passed away peacefully in his Mother and Father's arms surrounded by our family. "

With Gratitude,

Faith Bencomo

IVORY is 7 years old and this week she was riding
her go cart WITHOUT A HELMET, and lost control landing her under a neighbor's double wide that didn't have any skirting.
She was stopped by the floor and support beam by her NECK. She slashed her neck from her ear to her larynx, cutting her thyroid, her juggler was torn Slightly causing the blood to drain into her lungs, which then collapsed, she broke her neck, & broke her back. She was air lifted to MUSC , she has had 1 operation on her lower back and they found her spinal cord to be totally cut.

They have to wait for 2 weeks to operate on her larynx, thyroid and neck.   Not knowing until then if  her spinal cord is torn at the
neck... which will tell to what extent she will be paraly zed.

This little girl is only seven years old and has her whole life to
live.  I ask you to lift her up to God in prayer.

And if you wouldn't mind adding her to your Church prayer chain, we all know what God can do when we only have Faith and come together in unity . I have added an attachment of Ivory, she is the little girl to the left, and then one of her in the Hospital, she is such a

Thank you SO much for your time and most importantly... your prayers.

Letter to the Editor:( This is what I wrote in my fight to keep the Pappas School open,)
 >
> > I wanted to share an experience with you . I was walking down the street and a small child tugged at me. He said"Your the lady that gave me a hat at Papas Schools party. I asked him how he could remember me. He said to me that when he was in his box at night and the wind blew he pulled it over his ears and thanked me. I really go choked up./ Then he said to me : Couldn't you please try and help my school stay open? You know I don't know where I would wash or get clean clothes but I know I would get beat up because I would smell. I am so scared to go back. I reached down and hugged him tight. I told him I could not promise but I would try.

> > Horace Mann was a great educator and he once said: Be ashamed to die before you do something for humanity. Readers think about this. These homeless kids are victims of their parents being underachievers. Pappas survived in spite of the fact, I am told the 150,00 they were suppose to receive for one year and did not receive it for two, I saw the numerous volunteers helping the children to learn, and they had a room of clean clothes so they could pick out what they wanted. I saw hungry kids eating breakfast and lunch happy when if it were not for the school they would be hungry. I saw kids confiding and asking questions of the volunteers and most important they really are well behaved and care. Education is the foundation for bigger and better things. Our children are Americas future. No they cant blend in with children. I remember one man telling me he gave his kid a 97 Roles and the children teased him because it was so old. What will they tease and be cruel to these children about......

> > It is our responsibility as human beings to keep the school open. Pappas is a place of volunteers, who are totally dedicated, a place where a child gets a better education and has a touch of a normal life like no place else will give them. Please help to keep the school open. Their destiny is really in your hands and hearts.

> > Respectfully, Barbara Rundbaken

RESPONSE TO BARBARA'S LETTER:

 `Barbara,

We are continuing our mission to keep our Pappas schools open. Thank you so much for offering to help. We are looking into the number of signatures needed for a recall of several members of the Board of Supervisors.  When I have all of the information and the petition forms, I will contact you.

Please feel free to write an editorial for the newspaper. Hopefully they will print it. Attached is a list of names for members of the Board of Supervisors. It also has their address and phone numbers.  Please contact them.

I am also sending you an article written about this whole debacle. It sheds a very different light on the situation. It was published in the September issue of Phoenix Magazine.

Let's stay in touch so together we can build a stronger team to fight for the schools to remain open. Thank you so much for contacting me.

HELP GIVE A "FREE" MAMMOGRAM TO UNDERPRIVILEGED WOMEN!!!!

(Note:  This information was submitted by Harriet Frires.  Many blessings to you Harriet!!!)  Please share this with as many people as you know.  The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle).  This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertiser s use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.  Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.http://www.thebreas tcancersite. com

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (TRY THE KEY WORD) AND ELIMINATE CANCER,  JOHN HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY .

Cancer Update from John Hopkins

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard
tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented
from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These
could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9 When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts)and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at
temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells

CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS HOSPITAL , U S - PLEASE READ

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.

Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.
Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers.

This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life.

EARTH ANGEL STORY

10-year-old Florida Boy Walks 280 Miles to Raise Money for Homeless Children

"It's been really tiring and exhausting. But whenever I get really tired I just think of all the homeless kids that have to live through all the bad weather."

Aimee Herd (November 29, 2007)

(Tallahassee, FL)-Forrest Gump may have "just felt like running," but 10-year-old Zach Bonner, of Valrico, Florida, felt like walking-280 miles-and what's more, he had a commendable reason; to raise money and awareness for homeless children.  Zach not only celebrated Thanksgiving "on the road" (quite literally), but he also had his 10th birthday while walking from the Tampa area to Florida's capital of Tallahassee. (Photo: CapitolNewsService)  The young philanthropist, who began walking on November 1st, not only raised awareness with his effort, but he also brought in 25,000 dollars worth of donations and supplies for the homeless.

Asked if it was a difficult journey, Zach replied, "It's been really tiring and exhausting. But whenever I get really tired I just think of all the homeless kids that have to live through all the bad weather." Zach's 280-mile walk was not his first, but the latest of several projects he's done, all aimed at helping others. Zach explains that he does charitable work because, "it makes me happier than anything else I do." Source: Mike Vasilinda-CapitolNe wsService

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS STORY:

Submitted by:  SJen114111@aol.com

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,

I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.

My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,

My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,

Transforming the yard to a winter delight.

The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,

Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,

Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.

In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,

So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,

But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.

Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,

And I crept to the door just to see who was near.

Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,

A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,

Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.

Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,

Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear,

"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!

Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,

You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"

For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,

Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts.

To the window that danced with a warm fire's light

Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right,

I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night."

"It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,

That separates you from the darkest of times.

No one had to ask or beg or implore me,

I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.

My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December,"

Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always

remembers."

My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ',

And now it is my turn and so, here I am.

I've not seen my own son in more than a while,

But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.

Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,

The red, white, and blue... an American flag.

I can live through the cold and the being alone,

Away from my family, my house and my home.

I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,

I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.

I can carry the weight of killing another,

Or lay down my life with my sister and brother.

Who stand at the front against any and all,

To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall."

"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,

Your family is waiting and I'll be all right."

"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,

"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?

It seems all too little for all that you've done,

For being away from your wife and your son."

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,

"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.

To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,

To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,

To know you remember we fought and we bled.

Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,

That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

PLEASE, Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S.service men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities.  Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us.

This is a wonderful piece by Michael Gartner, editor of newspapers large and small and president of NBC News. In 1997, he won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing. It is well worth reading, and a few good chuckles are guaranteed.

                       TIME GOES BY

My father never drove a car. Well, that's not quite right. I should say I never saw him drive a car.

He quit driving in 1927, when he was 25 years old, and the last car he drove was a 1926 Whippet.

"In those days," he told me when he was in his 90s, "to drive a car you had to do things with your hands, and do things with your feet, and look every which way, and I decided you could walk through life and enjoy it or drive through life and miss it."

At which point my mother, a sometimes salty Irishwoman, chimed in:  "Oh, bull----!" she said. "He hit a horse."

"Well," my father said, "there was that, too."

So my brother and I grew up in a household without a car. The neighbors all had cars -- the Kollingses next door had a green 1941 Dodge, the VanLaninghams across the street a gray 1936 Plymouth, the Hopsons two doors down a black 1941 Ford -- but we had none.

My father, a newspaperman in
Des Moines , would take the streetcar to work and, often as not, walk the three miles home.  If he took the streetcar home, my mother and brother and I would walk the three blocks to the streetcar stop, meet him and walk home together.

My brother, David, was born in 1935, and I was born in 1938, and sometimes, at dinner, we'd ask how come all the neighbors had cars but we had none. "No one in the family drives," my mother would explain, and that was that.

But, sometimes, my father would say, "But as soon as one of you boys turns 16, we'll get one." It was as if he wasn't sure which one of us would turn 16 first.

But, sure enough , my brother turned 16 before I did, so in 1951 my parents bought a used 1950
Chevrolet from a friend who ran the parts department at a Chevy dealership downtown.

It was a four-door, white model, stick shift, fender skirts, loaded with everything, and, since my parents didn't drive, it more or less became my brother's car.

Having a car but not being able to drive didn't bother my father, but it didn't make sense to my mother.

So in 1952, when she was 43 years old, she asked a friend to teach her to drive. She learned in a nearby cemetery, the place where I learned to drive the following year and where, a generation later, I took my two sons to practice driving. The cemetery probably was my father's idea. "Who can your mother hurt in the cemetery?" I remember him saying more than once.

For the next 45 years or so, until she was 90, my mother was the driver in the family. Neither she nor my father had any sense of direction, but he loaded up on maps -- though they seldom left the city limits -- and appointed himself navigator. It seemed to work.

Still, they both continued to walk a lot. My mother was a devout Catholic, and my father an equally devout agnostic, an arrangement that didn't seem to bother either of them through their 75 years of marriage.

(Yes, 75 years, and they were deeply in love the entire time.)

He retired when he was 70, and nearly every morning for the next 20 years or so, he would walk with her the mile to St. Augustine 's Church. She would walk down and sit in the front pew, and he would wait in the back until he saw which of the parish's two priests was on duty that morning.  If it was the pastor, my father then would go out and take a 2-mile walk, meeting my mother at the end of the service and walking her home.

If it was the assistant pastor, he'd take just a 1-mile walk and then head back to the church. He called the priests "Father Fast" and "Father Slow."

After he retired, my father almost always accompanied my mother whenever she drove anywhere, even if he had no reason to go along. If she were going to the beauty parlor, he'd sit in the car and read, or go take a stroll or, if it was summer, have her keep the engine running so he could listen to the Cubs game on the radio.

In the evening, then, when I'd stop by, he'd explain: "The Cubs lost again. The millionaire on second base made a bad throw to the millionaire on first base, so the multimillionaire on third base scored."

If she were going to the grocery store, he would go along to carry the bags out -- and to make sure she loaded up on ice cream. As I said, he was always the navigator, and once, when he was 95 and she was 88 and still driving, he said to me, "Do you want to know the secret of a long life?"

"I guess so," I said, knowing it probably would be something bizarre.

"No left turns," he said.

"What?" I asked.

"No left turns," he repeated. "Several years ago, your mother and I read an article that said most accidents that old people are in happen when they turn left in front of oncoming traffic.

As you get older, your eyesight worsens, and you can lose your depth perception, it said. So your mother and I decided never again to make a left turn."

"What?" I said again.

"No left turns," he said. "Think about it. Three rights are the same as a left, and that's a lot safer.  So we always make three rights."

"You're kidding!" I said, and I turned to my mother for support "No," she said, "your father is right. We make three rights. It works." But then she added: "Except when your father loses count."

I was driving at the time, and I almost drove off the road as I started laughing.

"Loses count?" I asked.

"Yes," my father admitted, "that sometimes happens. But it's not a problem. You just make seven rights, and you're okay again."

I couldn't resist. "Do you ever go for 11?" I asked.

"No," he said " If we miss it at seven, we just come home and call it a bad day.  Besides, nothing in life is so important it can't be put off another day or another week."

My mother was never in an accident, but one evening she handed me her car keys and said she had decided to quit driving. That was in 1999, when she was 90.

She lived four more years, until 2003. My father died the next year, at 102.

They both died in the bungalow they had moved into in 1937 and bought a few years later for $3,000. (Sixty years later, my brother and I paid $8,000 to have a shower put in the tiny bathroom -- the house had never had one. My father would have died then and there if he knew the shower cost nearly three times what he paid for the house.)

He continued to walk daily -- he had me get him a treadmill when he was 101 because he was afraid he'd fall on the icy sidewalks but wanted to keep exercising -- and he was of sound mind and sound body until the moment he died.

One September afternoon in 2004, he and my son went with me when I had to give a talk in a neighboring town, and it was clear to all three of us that he was wearing out, though we had the usual wide-ranging conversation about politics and newspapers and things in the news.

A few weeks earlier, he had told my son, "You know, Mike, the first hundred years are a lot easier than the second hundred." At one point in our drive that Saturday, he said, "You know, I'm probably not going to live much longer."

"You're probably right," I said.

"Why would you say that?" he countered, somewhat irritated.

"Because you're 102 years old," I said.

"Yes," he said, "you're right." He stayed in bed all the next day.

That night, I suggested to my son and daughter that we sit up with him through the night.

He appreciated it, he said, though at one point, apparently seeing us look gloomy, he said:

"I would like to make an announcement. No one in this room is dead yet"

An hour or so later, he spoke his last words:

"I want you to know," he said, clearly and lucidly, "that I am in no pain. I am very comfortable. And I have had as happy a life as anyone on this earth could ever have."

A short time later, he died.

I miss him a lot, and I think about him a lot. I've wondered now and then how it was that my family and I were so lucky that he lived so long.

I can't figure out if it was because he walked through life,  or because he quit taking left turns.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat you right.  Forget about those who don't.  Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a chance, take it.  If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it.

Hey Everyone,

In case I don't get to talk or see you in the next few weeks before x-mas, I want each one of you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. That I love you and wish you a spectacular coming year. Lets hold hands in spirit and become stronger individuals to contribute to the whole of who we really are. Let go of what we want to be and provide a home to each others' hearts. In this attachment, you will find that every paragraph has a meaning. For me in particular, the practice of forgiveness and the practice of transcending thought. The prayer is also a beautiful way to help my focus on what my true mission is. Again, view this, take what you can use, and live life fully!

Loving thoughts,

Lori Landrade@FarmersAgent.com

FROM UNITY SPIRIT ONLINE:

Quote:

"Then they said to him, 'Inquire of God that we may know whether the mission we are on will succeed.' The priest replied, 'Go in peace. The mission you are on is under the eye of the Lord.'" - Judges 18: 5-6

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

Thought:

If we were going to stand as one to build the world of our dreams, what would that world look like? A world of peace? Acceptance? A world of love?

All over the world, people answer that question with those same answers. We say we want a world of peace, love and acceptance, yet often that is not the world we see around us.

So how do we get that world, the one we all say we want? We begin by no longer acting as if we don't know how to achieve it, because something in us does.

We create that world by doing the work our souls are called to do - right here, right now, doing the work that is in the best interest of our souls' evolution, because when any one of us heals, we add to the healing of the world.

All of the great master teachers have been asked why they didn't simply create peace on earth. Every one of them has answered that question by saying that, even if they did create peace, it would last but for a moment, because each of us must contribute to peace-each of us must do the soul work that will shift our consciousness individually, so that we, each, contribute to the making of a peaceful world.

There are many spiritual practices that can help us shift our consciousness, and here are three foundational spiritual practices we can use, and some processes for making them real on our journey:

~First is the practice of forgiveness.  When we don't forgive, we use up our energy holding on to our judgments and attachments to people, or outcomes. We hold on to all that negativity, and we've no room left to feel the stirring of God's call in our hearts.

One way to forgive is to simply begin writing on a sheet of paper the statement, "I forgive ___________, totally and completely." Write it over, and over, and over. The mind needs to repeat a task at least 21 times to begin to form a new habit, so write it at least that many times! This writing exercise should be followed by a time of meditation, in which you visualize the person you are forgiving surrounded in the light of God's love, and you consciously release them up to God. The whole purpose of this two-part process is to release energy. The writing exercise begins to move the trapped energy out of the physical body, and the meditation is the spiritual work of releasing the person or situation to God.

Another tool that can move us through forgiveness is an excellent method called "7 Steps to Successful Life Transitions," by Jane Hart. This in-depth workbook and CD guide you through the process of forgiveness, helping you consciously create the life you desire.

~Second is the practice of transcending thought. As we deepen spiritually, we learn to move beyond the intellect and tune in to guidance from our intuition. The intellect is the part of us that likes black and white answers-makes lists of the "pros" and "cons"-and wants to get things solved. The intellect argues, rationalizes, and things have to "make sense" according to the physical world. The intuition, by contrast, often guides us to do what doesn't seem to make sense, because we're being guided to do what will evolve our souls, and often we don't see the whole picture in the physical world. When we follow our intuition, we often just know something is ours to do, even if it doesn't make rational sense!

We can begin to discern the voice of our intuition, the voice of Spirit, by asking for guidance in simple, every day situations. When getting ready for your day, ask Spirit what clothes you should put on; when looking at a restaurant menu, ask Spirit what you should eat; with car keys in hand, ask Spirit which route you should take to work-then be silent and listen for the answers. These are simple, low-risk situations in which you can practice listening for the voice of Spirit. Gradually, that voice becomes easier to discern, and along the way you're building faith to ask for guidance in life's bigger issues!

~Our third spiritual practice is taking action on the guidance we've received. We've released the blocked energy by doing our forgiveness work, so that we can feel the stirring of God's call in our hearts; we've moved beyond making all our decisions purely from the intellect, and are beginning to discern the voice of Spirit, calling us to do that which will evolve our souls; now, as we hear that voice of Spirit, we must act on its guidance.

These three spiritual practices - forgiveness, transcending thought and taking action-will move our souls forward, so that we become the peace, the acceptance, the love, we wish to see in our world.

Every time we do our soul work, we stand as one, for all humanity.

Every time we follow the call of Spirit, we stand as one.

Prayer:

Living, Loving Spirit, I open my heart to you as I commit to doing the work my soul is called to do. Help me to forgive, and to release the attachments that are no longer serving me. Show me clear guidance, as I quiet my mind to hear Your voice. And Spirit, be the strength within me as I take action to stand, as one, with all people who are healing our souls, and building the world of our dreams.  Submitted by:  Lorraine Andrade
