I've begun work on a chapter Web site;
http://members.cox.net/nsp_phx/
The design is based on the Colorado chapter's site and obviously is
still a work in progress but I would appreciate any feedback or
suggestions for content you might have.
Be well,
David

- One idea is to have a list of members with a brief bio and email contact.
- Calendar of valley events color coded (Blue for NSP, Green for Spiritual, Red for Political, Yellow for Social, etc)

My feedback is this. I don't feel we should attack the "religious right". I believe the goal is compassion for all . Targeting a segment of the collective us will not bring peace or understanding. I was drawn to Michael Lerner's message of reaching out and living from spirit. I think we need to model what we believe and attacking those who thoughts are different from our own will not build a bridge to mend our differences. We must learn to respect one another for we are one in reality--we are of spirit. To me this is what brought me to NSP. I am truly tired of our current political practices of attacking, a tug of war for power and control. This fight drains us and real changes rarely get addressed.
As you can see, I tend to be a Buddhist at heart even though I was raised with no religious influences whatsoever.
I hope my statement makes sense. Take care and thank you for taking on this website project.
Warmest Regards,
Lorraine

Thanks for your feedback. Tom is correct. The language I've used is
pulled directly from the national NSP site. It's right there under
"Our Vision" on the main page:

I would be happy to use some alternative language--several of the
other chapter Web sites have done so--if we can come up with it.
Perhaps this is something we can discuss at the next meeting.
