I downloaded the entire offline installer package and put it on a usb drive with easy2boot for installing windows xp. It's fantastic for setting up offline systems and knocking out those obscure chipset drivers that can be such a pain. Had pretty mixed results with Audigy or SBLive drivers though.
As soon as it starts for the first time, it suggests downloading indexes and driverpacks(archives with drivers). You can download all driverpacks(over 12 GB) for offline use or download only indexes(10 MB) in order to see which driverpacks you actually need for your current PC. Downloading the whole package is recommended if you want to put it on your USB flash drive or external HDD and use it as a portable tool to install drivers on many PCs. If you want to install drivers only on your PC, you're better off downloading only indexes.

The full snappy driver pack is 90GB, no thanks. Would rather spend the time and research the required drivers but that is just me. I have a fully functional i7-8700k on a Z370 board running Win 7 and found all the drivers needed just by doing some research. Unfortunately Intel, Asus, MSI etc removed them all but was able to find them. ?
