TONIGHT Fri 5/1 Freedom Rising: Voices Strong
Freedom Rising: Voices Strong is a May Day fundraiser for Voces
de la Frontera, happening May 1st at Atwood Music Hall. While AMH isn't
technically within the North Street neighborhood, this event supports
an organization doing the work to protect immigrant families across
Madison, Dane County, and Wisconsin.

Occupy Madison Plant Sale is Saturday, May 2nd 10 – 4 at 304 N
Third St. Music 12 – 2, snacks, beverages, tiny house tours, good
company, great plants and fun!
Please stop by and check out our plants, our new items in our store and so much more!
Don’t worry if you missed it! You can also shop online (updated
with more plants throughout the morning!!!!) and pick up during hours we
are open or stop to pick out your favorites Tuesday and Thursday 6 – 8
or Saturday and Sunday 10 – 2 if you miss the sale.

Thu May 7th, 7:00 PM at Hawthorne Public Library, or you can call-in virtually. Different time than normal!

presenting their funding proposal, so we need attendance from members
for voting on the proposed spending! Hope to see you there!

Sat 5/16 First Annual Hawthorne Art Fair
This community celebration showcases the incredible talent of our local makers and creates a space for neighbors to connect.
The
event will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00
PM at the Hawthorne Open Space, located at the Hawthorne Elementary
School at 3344 Concord Ave (Enter the Fair on Lexington Ave!)
We have curated a diverse lineup of 25 vendors and artists, including:
- The Dane County Trash Lab
- MSCR Arts & Entertainment
- Feed Kitchens
- El Chisme Catering
- And a special button sale curated by Art Teacher Eva Presser-Dudley and the Hawthorne Elementary students!

Memorial Day Peace Rally and Community Gathering

Veterans for Peace Madison will host their annual event, and we are
delighted that Susan Schnall, their national president, will be here to
speak. Also: VFP needs help to set up (May 23)
and take down (May 30) the "Memorial Mile" symbolic
tombstones at
