JOBS:

1)       From Robert Chesney’s list and copy of announcement attached - The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court invites applications for the position of Counsel to the Court. The Court currently employs five counsels to assist the Judges of the Court in considering applications presented by the U.S. government for authority to conduct electronic surveillance or physical search pursuant to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. The counsels also advise the Judges on legal issues presented in applications or that are otherwise before the Court.  To apply, please email a cover letter, resume and writing sample to resp...@ao.uscourts.gov. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.  Details attached.

 

 

2)       National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) will be hiring a new attorney: GS-15, detail or direct hire, TS/SCI-eligible, application deadline is 9 December, start date is negotiable. The position is posted on USAJobs (link::  Associate Counsel announcement on USAJobs), job announcement number 10181, also posted on the ODNI website.  

 

PROGRAMS:

1)      December 7 at the Law Firm of Arnold & Porter -- "The Challenges and Responsibilities of Lawyers at National Security Agencies" Free; registration information pasted below.

2)      December 8 - Copley Formal Lounge – Georgetown University – “Digital Pearl Harbor” program featuring Richard Clarke, General Michael Hayden and Jeffrey Carr to address the likelihood of such an event as well as where our critical infrastructure and Federal networks are most vulnerable.  Program information attached.
