Happy New Year!
We’re partnering with BookBreak to share the opportunity to bring bestselling author talks directly to your classrooms, because every student deserves this chance.
BookBreak is a virtual program created by a team of experienced K-12 school librarians and teachers to make author visits more accessible to students. This semester, you can be part of this effort by selecting a free talk with a bestselling author.
Each school can choose one virtual talk from the incredible authors listed below:
Elementary
Dan Gutman, Miss Daisy is Crazy
Kelly Starling Lyons, Jada Jones and Miles Lewis series
Lauren Tarshis, I Survived the American Revolution, 1776
Middle
Nic Stone, Dear Martin
Rex Ogle, Free Lunch
Tony Weaver, Weirdo
High

Ibi Zoboi, American Street
Margarita Engle, Enchanted Air
How to Sign Up Your School: To secure a spot for your school, please have one representative per school (e.g., librarian, literacy coach, teacher or administrator) fill out this form. To have access for the spring, schools must sign up by January 31, 2026. Each live author presentation will be approximately 15-25 minutes long. A recording of the session will also be available for 30 days after the event, ensuring no student misses out.

Sincerely,
