Doubts in application forms

One of the ones I cant figure out, is if you dont come across NSIT(or
DIT) in the school look up when filling out the application forms,
should you choose school not listed, or choose university of delhi???

I usually enter "NSIT, University of Delhi" or if there is place:
"Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology"

Another doubt: what is the "date for degree" in our case? May, 2007 or
what?

i dont know the answer to tht one, would appreciate enlightenment...

but madhav still doesnt answer my question, coz if u select university
of delhi from their look up school thing, it fills entries out on its
own...

so do u say tht school not listed and then go abt riting NSIT,
University of Delhi

oh and i usually fit Netaji Subhas Inst Tech when filling them out...

Yep - choose the "other" option and then fill out NSIT, University of
Delhi or NSIT in full. I am not filling out 'Netaji Subhas Inst of
Tech' - 'cos that is not the official name.... these people are
sticklers for correctness, I believe.

BTW, colleges from even IP are listed! Truly sad!

I agree, shouldnt there be some way of getting our college listed???

And am pretty sure Netaji Subhas Inst of Tech. is the official name,

inst and tech are accepted abbreviations, and there is almost nowehere
where you can full out nsit in full

Which is why I'm filling out NSIT... I do not want to use any sorta
short-forms except abbrvs.

anyway - I'm sure we can get the college listed by emailing the
admissions officer or somebody - don't think it's very important
though - we will be sending the transcripts anyway.... chill

a couple more questions, anyone mailed or figured out wht to do with
the GPA's and percentage conversion thing, sum forums in edulix
recommend filling in 0.0, so tht they notice the discrepancy and check
ur other records...

also jahan DIT ho, wahan DIT hi select karna hai na?

hey people, i got this thing from gatech link...
they very clearly mention that for Indian students, please put in ur
university name; not college.
so i guess we've gotta put in Univ of Delhi.
