Construction/Engineering Inspectors
Looking for 1-5 years Exp
$30-$40/hr
Approx 1 month in duration (plus or minus)
WILL pay recent grads $25-$30/hr!!!
We are looking for 20+ Construction/Engineering Inspectors for a water
activation project in New York City (Lower Manhattan). This project
will start August 8th, but we are looking for professionals to start
as early as July 29th, but no later than Aug. 2nd for site training.
The professionals will train for the first week, then start Aug. 8th
with the actual project. The project should last approximately 3
weeks, but could be longer or shorter depending on how the activation
goes. Prior to the site training, we will also need to get these folks
to complete OSHA 10 training; this will be an on-line course we can
set them up with.
Over the past 30 years, they have been building a 14-mile tunnel 800
feet below the surface that carries all of the piping systems for
Lower Manhattan. Throughout the city, there are 10 shafts that come up
from that tunnel to the surface of the ground that delivers the piping
to the businesses. We are in the activation process of these systems.
All lines have been hydro tested (pressure) and leaks have been fixed.
Throughout this project, we will be filling the lines with chlorinated
water. We will have a team for each shaft, as well as a team lead
(team leads already identified and are professional engineers). The
inspectors for these teams are what we are looking for. They need to
be degreed engineers (mechanical, civil, structural, chemical, or
industrial) that can produce reports and can be trained quickly. They
will be taking water samples to gauge chlorine levels, inspecting for
any leaks, turning valves, and other related duties. Professionals
will work (4 or 5) twelve hour shifts per week and be paid time and a
half for hours over 40. Starting August 8th, we will be working 24/7,
so some individuals will be working nights and/or weekends.
Thank You,
