This year NSBE-Region I will be partnering with the Brooklyn Children’s Museum for Engineers Week. Representatives from NYC NSBE collegiate chapters, professional networks, and high school/middle school groups are invited to come inspire kids to pursue STEM careers at their Engineer’s Week festivities in February!
The Engineer’s Week festival will take place February 17-23 at the Museum in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The museum is expecting to see about 1,000 visitors each day, with most of the children under 10 years old.
Each day, volunteers will lead an Engineering Challenge program at 1:30, focusing on a new building or design challenge. We encourage engineering students or professionals from the NSBE networks to help co-facilitate these workshops, especially if one relates to your particular field of study.
