Posting to Facebook

Just a reminder! If you're posting a response to something on our fb wall Please take the time to post as yourself and not as NSBE Boston.

If you're unsure of how to do this contact me and I will be happy to help. If you post from a mobile device and find switching from NSBE Boston to yourself difficult don't post until you get to a piece of equipment that is a little more user friendly. :)

I understand there was a ton of excitement yesterday about the board elections but lets not forget our social media etiquette.

Facebook has (#) that work. We can use them in our official post. Just be mindful of how you use them. We don't need to see #nsbeboston in a post more than once. Only the first #word will link you to something so we should do it once per item we want to #.

If you're posting as NSBE Boston and you misspell something DELETE IT! Facebook only allows you to edit post that include pictures. So if you're like me and can't spell posting items with pictures will give you the opportunity to correct any errors you may find after you've already posted.

Joslynn,

I think we missed an opportunity last year and I think Dre and Marie might agree. Would you put together a 30-40 miniute primer on Social Media. It could be title how to use social media effectively or something like that. We could have you present over google hangout at one of our first meetings in the fall. I think with your experience and vigor it would be well received.

Hi Joslynn,

I'm encountering the issue you mentioned in your 2nd paragraph, and I'm too forgetful to always wait until I get to a PC.

Bottomline: On mobile devices, I'm stuck as posting/commenting/liking as "NSBE Boston" on NSBE Boston page items. How do I switch between the two while mobile? TIA!

I would have done a Google search, but I didn't know what keywords to use.

If you open up Facebook with your phones internet browser and use the desktop version of Facebook. You should see use as _____ at the top of the page. Just like on your pc.
