#LadiesCode: A Hangout On Air on Women in Computer Science
Mon, August 26, 10:30 AM PDT
Are you going?
Vijay Umapathy, Luiza Nunes, Tarin O'Donnell and 365 more are invited
Please join us for a Hangout On Air in celebration of women and girls in computer science. This will be an exciting conversation with representatives from organizations working to encourage women in computer science. Participants will discuss why there is a gender gap in computer science, how they are improving the ratio, and how we can all work together to create a more diverse field in computer science. We encourage you to join the Ladies Code! G+ community to continue the conversation after the HOA. Please invite your friends and anyone who would be interested.

We will post the link to the Hangout On Air broadcast on this event page shortly before the HOA begins. Please feel free to post any questions on the event page and we will try to incorporate those into the discussion. We are excited to present these HOA participants (detailed bios below):

Kylie Poppen- Partnerships Director at she++, HOA host
Anne Madoff, Founding president of Harvard Women in Computer Science (Moderator)
Abby Bobe, Black Girls Code
Eric S. Roberts, Professor of Computer Science, Stanford University
Bonnie McLindon, Girls Teaching Girls To Code
Luke Segars, The Beauty and Joy of Computing, UC Berkeley
