Hey Everyone!

Few points i want to share -

1) You all should have received an email informing that you were nominated to apply for a position on the NSBE Boston executive board. This message was sent to all of our paid members. I plan on sending out the application packet to our general body next week.

Last day to submit the application is: June 2nd
Election meeting is: June 13th

If you know of anyone, who is not a paid member and will be a good candidate for the board, please let Gesnel, Mike, Alamin, and Myself know.

The election packet still has the April deadline. Gesnel, can you please make the change by this weekend? I can't easily make the change as it is in PDF format.

2) I will not be able to attend the meeting tomorrow. Can anyone help take attendance ?

3) Joslynn will be leaving us at the end of this month :( She will be starting a new job in Houston TX early next month!!
It is very likely i will be moving by the end of the month also. The location and day is not confirmed yet.
If you know of anyone who can serve on our Comm Zone, please let me know, and i can reach out.

Hi Gladys, I believe a word document version  of the election packet is on the drive or shared with the board. Let me know if it's not or else I can change and send it out.

Y'all gonna make me get all emotional about my team breaking up. You guys have been a great Comm Zone and will be hard to replace. That being said, this highlights the fact that we need to continue to focus on Membership and our Leadership pipeline for this chapter. We will need to highlight that tonight a little bit during our conversations.

Gladys and team,

I have an opportunity to get a couple of our members including any of you who qualify into NSBE magazine. I know some of you are in a mentor menthe relationship. The ask is to be able to interview any of you and your mentor that are in the Boston Area. Not sure the questions etc. but it will be to highlight the workings of that relationship etc. I think it is a good opportunity and I want to get feedback ASAP and this can be sent out to the membership. If anyone in the eboard is available and fits the bill i would like to highlight you first but if none of you can take advantage then I would also like this sent out to our group simultaneously.

Gladys please forward out to our membership. Have them contact you directly and I can follow up with them.

Greetings, Boston AE!

As a member of NSBE's Publications Team, I urge you to take advantage of this potential PR opportunity: Our freelance writer for NSBE Magazine and NSBE Bridge, is seeking African-American professionals in the Boston area, or elsewhere in New England, who are in a work-related mentoring relationship. She'd like to interview some of these mentoring pairs for an article she's writing for the Boston Globe's Diversity Boston magazine.

If you have a mentoring relationship that you you would like to highlight, please reach out to us and let us know.

Michael Burt
