The # feature on Facebook is now active and most importantly useful.

The hashtags now connect you with other people using the exact same tag. Just like on twitter. This helps you identify who's talking about u. This will be great for the gala and other events we have.

Not sure if they'll establish trending topics but its a start.

Enjoy!

Team,

There are several things that still need to happen to complete transition and I want to make sure they get done soon to avoid any complications.

ACTION ITEMS

1. We need to get a list of officers to Pops  (Eric Esteves) immediately so that he can update the website with the correct forwarding email info. He will need title and personal  email. Alamin/Dre- this should be all you.

2. Shanae needs to investigate Website options as discussed to move us to new backend (Word press preferably so that non html gurus can be a telecommunication chair). This may ultimately mean we pay for the URL and Site hosting moving forward, if not possible with current shared setup. Either way, we discussed briefly and we have a budget for that so it should be added as a capital expense. Andre,Al, Shay we can discuss further and Dre can make that call.

3. Impak has to have officers with term lengths input by August so that we stay an active chapter by their view. Dre and Al. I need to show you both how to do this.  Just need to setup time to do so. Al can you setup a doodle for us and we can do a webex and do this remote.

4. End of year dinner. We wanted to move it to get more board participation since we are down two board members already. Dre and I proposed 2nd thursday in July. Not sure if that was final or if we were doodling that as well. We need to move on that ASAP.  Board

5. Chapter awards need to be decided. (member of the year or any other award we want to give out. We may want to consider giving something to Draper and BAE for providing facilities to us all year. Would be a great token and should be standard procedure moving forward for our active sponsors. Not sure who to target there but I am sure Marie and Gesnel could help with that.

If I have forgotten anything please add. Let's help Andre start this off on the right foot.

Item 5 is a great idea. Thanking our active sponsors for providing facilities, food, and parking is a great way to help keep sponsors active.

Yeah they don't ask for much but companies like recognition just like we do and if it helps them it ultimately helps us. So we should make that happen as long as El Presidente agrees.

I definitely agree!

We can go corporate and give them one of those lucite thingies with some heartfelt verbiage. Any ideas for something maybe more creative?

I would say keep it lucite for hosting us. If they toss us money then we can work on elevating the recognition. This is something we can consider as a part of the solicitation package, level of sponsorship...

Given the amount of time the lucite with logo and NSBE Boston Presidential Service Award or something like that.
