Executive board meeting minutes - 4/25/13

NSBE BOSTON EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING – 4/25/13 @ 6:45PM
Attendance: Mike, Al, Gesnel, Joslynn, Gladys, Andre, Marie
1) Next General Body Meeting (May 9th) at Drapers
There will be 3 parts to the meeting (majority of time spent on elections and the meeting topic). We should plan to finish early so we may continue at a bar walking distance from Draper (next building). There were discussions on whether or not to provide appetizer at the bar if food is already provided for the meeting.Any thoughts on this can be sent to Marie and Shaunna). Below is the meeting agenda (provided by programs zone)
Part I
-Start with mission on ppt, stated in unison
-members grab food and begin eating
- intro the elections
-Eboard introductions and talk about position,
what was our role (Ppt shows the expectations from constitution)
Part II
"The art of the elevator pitch"
-Color code the name badges
-15 min training of how to develop pitch
-20 min individual development
-Speed networking with practicing the pitch to
person of different color name badge
Part III
-continue networking at local bar Walk
for hunger
2) Walk for Hunger
o Send out personal notes to friends
o All e-board should donate no matter the amount - Let’s be a united front
o Our goal is to raise $1000. We are 1/3 full (just spread the word)
o ACTION: Joslynn please post on Region 1 facebook page and NSBE professional page
3) Transition Report
Should include key points and take a-ways from your role (special links/useful numbers should also be include)
ACTION – By 10 PM today everyone should have a draft of their transition report on Google Drive under the folder TRANSITION
4) AE summit

5) NSBE boston elections
o Personal emails should be sent out
o Package can go to everyone
o ACTION - Mike/ Sandy scan your signature and send it to Marie by this weekend to be included on the letter
o ACTION – Marie please schedule a meeting to discuss details and timing (include Sandy, Joslynn, Gesnel) in meeting
6) UNH Alumni Dinner - Saturday April 27th at 7-9pm – Eboard should try to participate (information is on NSBE Boston Facebook page)
