Hi All,

There is no time to waste and Let's get ready for winter season 2010

Here are few things I would like to hand over to the next Cap and
Manager

**Currently we have about 200$ in the 隊費box
1. A set of Waffle balls to practice batting
2. (12) Baseballs from TW For Batting and fielding practice
3. possible a newTeam batt?
4. Line up Board (Justine is working on that)

5. Let's put in some $ for the 隊費 for 2010 winter season also.

1 + 2 ...I don't mind chipping in for 3 if someone is getting it.

We might want to get a lighter bat. 小橘 and 小黃 are -3. Personally I
prefer -3, but there might be people who likes to use a lighter bat.

1. No for Waffle balls, 不過其實很便宜, 要買也沒差
2. Yes for baseballs
3. No for Team Bat, 很多人自己都有了, 用隊費買他們用不到不太公平

not sure how many items of above you can buy with $200 unless we raise
more funds.

new baseballs are definite because we need it
not sure about waffle balls because we usually practice with real
balls anyways
team bat not sure because we have a few bats now, plus my old bat is
lighter compared to little orange and little yellow and I attend most
games so maybe we do not need to spend that money and just use my old
bat - just a thought.

but if we are planning to buy a new bat, we should do the following
1. find out how much it will cost plus delivery
2. find out how many people are willing to participate
3. divide up the cost against number of people and see if it is
acceptable
4. proceed with order

but then how do we regulate the usage of bat ?

depending on the cost and which bat, I might participate, sorry could
not commit to it because I already have a new bat

also I am going to Japan and Taiwan for a couple of weeks from mid
April so I guess I can buy a team bat if we can sort out the choice of
bat and finances

we basically have to get a senior or junior bat to get one that is not
as heavy, but bear in mind that those bats are also shorter as well ..
the longest is 32"

1 of the reason for waffle balls is to allow us to swing at the ball
at full speed without worrying about hitting the person feeding the
baseballs. we had a few close calls already.

2nd reason is we won't have to go very far to collect waffle balls
after each batting drill.

I agreed with 1 and 2, 1, waffle ball, good to have it during the pre
game practice or during the regular training.
2, new baseball, we definitely need more balls for regular practice,
actually where are those used game balls? we don't need to use new
ball for practice.

Team bat, I am totally fine with little orange, I think I am right on
with -3, I know it might be a little heavy for someone who used to use
-5, but -5 bat is rarely to find in the market now, all college ball
in US forced players to use -3 so manufacturer mainly produced -3
bats. You guys might still able to find some -5 bat on market, but
might be produced long time ago. You can check ebay US if lucky to
find one.

I am ok to put some $ for team fee since I never pay b4.
