I have purchased the latest CuWin5500, HMI device running Windows Embedded 6.0
http://www.cubloc.com/product/06_02.php
I have downloaded NSBasic 8.20a, using my Serial , updating from 7.05b
Everything seems to install/load OK. No error messages
on the NSBasic IDE choose Tools>Options>Installer>Get Device Info shows
Device processor Type 2577:
Device Type: SMDK2450 Board
Device OEM Info: Samsung Electronics
Device Version: 6
I have selected the Platform
2577 - ARMV4/StrongARM/SA1100
Wanted to try running an NSBasic program, the Benchmark.nsb
Active sync 4.5 connects, I am able to explore the CuWin5500,
No error messages at all when uploading or running a program,
but all I get is a Blank light gray screen, "X" in upper Right corner, a tab created on the bottom with the name of the program, plus the rest of the task bar icons , start button, etc.
The unit is not lock up because I can open control panel etc. while the blank screen is being shown.
The only screen item in the Benchmark.nsb program is a Message Box, but this does not show on the screen of the CuWin5500.
I Have used NSBasic v 7.05b to program the CuWin3500, ab earlier version of the device, which has CE5.0 installed. Worked very well.
In thinking about this, I concluded that the controls were not being registered.
It would seem that Windows CE6.0 does not use "regsvrce.exe" to register the controls.
I tried to run
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\MSCEComm.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\MSCEComDlg.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\MSCEFile.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\NSCEPictureBox.ocx"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\newObjectsPack1.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\NSBComDlg.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\NSBControls.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\SerialCE.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\DialogX.ocx"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\vbscript.dll"
ShellExecute "open","regsvrce.exe","\Flash Disk\NSB BASIC\nsbasic\NSBWin32.dll"
Bye
Browsing the files on the CuWin5500, I did not find the file
"regsvrce.exe"
So I am at a bit of a loss, NSBasic 8.02a should not require an installed runtime on the device, and should have the ability to register any controls
Any assistance is appreciated
Ben
It sounds like you have done all the right things.
Is there any chance you can loan us the device for a day? If so, contact
support @ nsbasic.com directly, and we will make the arrangements.

All I need is an address, and a choice of courier, and I will send you a unit.
Thanks again
