xfree86-base or ORG needs for installing NS2 on win/ cygwin

Hi every one

ns2 needs Xfree86 for installing , but i can't find this package on cygwin setup , when i search you can find this on zzzremovedpackage but also i can't download.

now when i type startx , graphical interface runs but when try to install NS2.9allinone this error showed :

 Neither Package xorg-x11-base nor XFree86-base is present on your system.

would any one help me to solve this problem and where can i download Xfree86

I feel going for linux (ubuntu) instead cygwin to run NS2 is better option. Many people complain for errors.

I am using ubuntu 10.10 to run ns2.35, I haven't tried on later versions.  U can still download ubuntu 10.10 and run ns2 without errors. u may get from link http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.10/ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso, and u also need to download a  utility to create a usb or cd to install ubuntu from http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows. For installing ns2.35 u may follow method 2 except step 5.

these instructions are about installing ns2.34 but they work for ns2.35 also just modify step 5 as
 $ sudo apt-get install build-essential autoconf automake libxmu-dev
