Is it possible to write a clustering algorithm in ns2 for ad-hoc routing contribution, 

In case it's possible, how can I integrate and simulate a clustering algorithm in a cluster-based routing protocol

There seems to be no "Clustering" ( $ grep -Rin clus * ) in the Manet examples, manet-examples-4.tar.gz
