Ns2 xgraph

hello guys , i'm doing my research on mobile wimax . my question is
how to use xgraph in Ns2? and if u have idea about wimax simulation
(model) pls let us share the information .

After running the simulation, trace files are generated. You need to use AWK scripts to extract the useful information from these trace files.

AWK Scripts for few parameters are available here:

After downloading the AWK Scripts give following command:

awk  -f  filename.awk  filename. tr > filename.xgr

then give the following command:

xgraph filename.xgr

More details about xgraph will be uploaded soon on my Blog.

Please Note: You need to make little modifications in the AWK scripts that you download from above mentioned link. This is because AWK Scripts to plot a graph are bit different than AWK Scripts that are just used to obtain values. Only the printf statement in AWK Scripts need to modified for plotting graphs such that it prints the results in two columns (because graph has two dimensions X and Y).

If you further encounter any problems, kindly let me know. I will upload AWK Scripts that will can be used for plotting graphs.
