Wood Stork was still present in New Harbour last night at 6pm. I believe inititially reported by Diane Charlos? Some locals told us the bird had been present for 3 weeks. Some say about a week.
Bird didn't seem to be able to find much food when tide high but did eat a bit in the flooded grass. Is eating but I don't think well. Goes behind the houses into a pond that is in the back woods and on the lawns. Perhaps looking for frogs or other things to eat.
Also we observed under bridge where river outflow is but had little success.
Believe it feeds more productively at low tide.
