Hi ESEC group,

This Giving Tuesday NSEN is looking for YOU to be our Environmental Champions!

Peer-to-peer fundraising is a model where supporters create their own mini-campaign pages to share with their networks. Our goal is to empower our network to engage with their own, whether that’s on social media, by email, or however you usually connect with your community. It’s simple to set up in a few minutes, and every share or donation empowers community-led work!
Check out our fundraising page! We would be thrilled in your capacity to take action for us, either by setting up a personal fundraising page of your own, donating to one of our Environmental Champions, or sharing this email or our call-out poster attached to raise awareness and support!
If you are interested in becoming an Environmental Champion, we have provided a ready-made toolkit, here, with how to set up your account, and 3 folders of graphics and messaging with some of the vital roles NSEN supports: biodiversity conservation, water protection, and climate action collaboration. Please feel free to personalize your page with any aspect of NSEN you would like to support that really connects with why you got involved in the network!

Thank you,

Megan Poulton

Become a Champion for Nova Scotia’s Environment!

Hi ,

Giving Tuesday is around the corner, and this year NSEN is launching something new: an interactive, community-powered fundraising campaign! We’re inviting our supporters to join us as “Environmental Champions” to help spread the word and raise support for local environmental action across the province.

As an Environmental Champion, you’ll create a personal peer-to-peer fundraising page and share it within your own network, whether that’s on social media, by email, or however you usually connect with your community. It’s simple to set up in a few minutes, and every share or donation empowers community-led work in areas like biodiversity, water protection, and climate education!

You’ll also have the chance to personalize your page. You can share your own message about why you’re championing NSEN, or draw from our ready-made text based on your passions, whether that’s conserving biodiversity in Nova Scotia, water protection, or our annual initiative to connect grassroots environmental groups with Nova Scotia’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change.

We’ll support you every step of the way with a toolkit to easily set up your page, ready-to-use social media graphics and messages, and some tips to make participating easy and enjoyable. Plus, we’ll be recognizing our top fundraiser at the end of the campaign, which starts today and runs until December 9, with a $50 MEC gift card!

This Giving Tuesday, let’s counter the noise of consumerism with community, generosity, and local impact. Use our short, step-by-step guide to set up your fundraising page in minutes!
