to NS eBird discussions
Hi All,
This group has been quiet lately so I thought I'd throw out something I've been thinking about for a couple of years. The BirdCast about the progress of the "continental" migration in the spring and autumn is a great resource provided on the American eBird site. One only has to look at the regional maps to see that Canada is excluded in their forecasts. However, and especially in the autumn, are not the forecasts they make to a considerable extent derived from the data we Canadians upload to eBird? Does anyone know why the "continental" forecasts don't include Canada or Mexico? Was there ever any discussion between the Cornell Lab and Bird Studies Canada about collaboration in this useful project that has even more potential for the future?
Thanks!
John
