Hello ns-3 developers,

I am Usham Roy, a pre-final year B.Tech CSE student from SRM Institute
of Science and Technology, India. This summer I will be contributing to
ns-3 as part of GSoC 2026, working on enhancements to 6LoWPAN
mesh-under routing, mentored by Tommaso Pecorella and Adnan Rashid.

The project decouples the mesh-under forwarding logic from
SixLowPanNetDevice into a new SixLowPanMeshUnderRouting class, and
adds a Trickle-based suppression strategy (RFC 6206 -- the algorithmic
foundation of RFC 7731's MPL) together with adaptive forwarding
jitter, to mitigate the broadcast-storm problem in dense IoT
deployments.

Happy to take questions, pointers, or suggestions from anyone interested
in 6LoWPAN, RFC 6206, or low-power wireless networking.

Thanks,
Usham Roy
