Hi all, I'm reposting something that I just posted on Zulip, for
comments/discussion here since I understand that not everyone is on
Zulip. Alberto asked about release status and whether he could still
make some changes to Zigbee. To which I replied:
Please go ahead with Zigbee improvements. I am pretty much ready to make
the release. However, there are three MRs that I wanted to see in this
release that are waiting for maintainer review. I mentioned these last
week. I'm reluctant to just slip them again because we already did that
during the last cycle. In addition, Sebastien indicated that he had
another MR coming to document and provide examples for his recent
additions to the wifi module.
Previously when we discussed release scheduling, we agreed not to do
what I am doing (holding the release for features), so I apologize for
bending this rule. I asked last week whether this slip was causing any
difficulty, and no one replied. However, we are in the same state this week.
Aside from the three MRs !2004, !2009, and !2084 that I was holding for,
and Sebastien's forthcoming MR, my understanding of status is
- Gabriel would like to include !2309 but is still working on improvements
- Windows VS clang patches can slip
- Eduardo was going to push the clang-format-18 patches !1899 and !2070
when ready (not sure of current status)
- !2242 on CI changes could slip past the release
- Alberto has an MR to improve uan documentation (!2212) that could be
finalized but the document build failure needs to be fixed.
