Dear all,

I am Nipuna Dulara, a final-year undergraduate pursuing a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

For GSoC 2026, I am working on the project Energy Modeling for the 5G-LENA NR Module. The primary objective is to introduce a mature, callback-driven energy-tracking architecture to the 5G-LENA NR module by integrating it with the ns-3 Energy Framework. The work implements 3GPP-aligned energy models for the UE (TR 38.840) and gNB (TR 38.864), state machines with DRX and sleep-state handling, an energy helper for node installation, and a proof-of-concept energy-aware MAC scheduler aimed at 6G and XR workloads.
