Hi everyone,

I need just an information about the implementation status for 80211p. I have seen in the source code of ns3 some referments to WIFI_PHY_STANDARD_80211p_CCH and WIFI_PHY_STANDARD_80211p_CCH and the WifiHelper has the fuction SetStandard that should accept thee two parameters. These two parameters are deprecated so I would like to understand i 802.11p is really supported or not.

Can someone help me please?

Bye and thanks to everyone.

Daniele

Dear Daniele,

Please consider the proposed GSoC project proposal [1] which has information about the current status of the implementation. 802.11p as a PHY protocol is there. The MAC (multi-channel operation) is missing.

Daniele,

As now, In ns-3, support for 802.11p involves the MAC and PHY layers. To use an 802.11p NetDevice, ns3::Wifi80211pHelper is suggested.
