working with beacons

Hello,

I am new to NS3 and I have limited idea on Networking.I am working on project where I have to send beacons in ad-hoc network.I was looking at mesh.cc but I am not exactly sure how it works.

1.can someone tell me how to understand connection of it with meshpoint device and meshl2routing protocol.

2.Inorder to implement an adhoc mode usage of mesh.cc is the only way or I can I use someother code as a base?

3.What can I read in ns3 to have a better understanding of how mesh.cc is working and sending beacons?
