Hi,

I am working on the Scheduling Schemes on LTE. At this moment I want to realize a scenario where I can send one (or more) radio bearer from eNodeB to the UE (downlink). My question is that when I define radio bearers how I can access to the Mac Queue where I can supervise the evolution of the queue based on the different scheduling strategies?

For more detail, in NS3 before LENA, there where headers like "lte-mac-queue.h" which does not exist in Lena (possible to add but it is not exactly what I am searching if you look at my question) or even for the bearer there is no the header (class) "radio-bearer-instance.h". I tried to work on the old versions of NS3 (before LENA) but they are very old also I would like to appreciate the new features of the latest versions of the NS3.

Thanks for your help

Hi,

The queues are implemented at RLC level, more info at the following link:
https://www.nsnam.org/docs/release/3.16/models/html/lte-design.html#rlc-and-pdcp

The schedulers does not maintain the queues, they only allocate the resources (but they are aware of the size of the queues for scheduling purposes, check m_rlcBufferReq and m_ceBsrRxed), more info:
https://www.nsnam.org/docs/release/3.16/models/html/lte-design.html#the-femtoforum-mac-scheduler-interface

best,
marco.

Thanks a lot Marco for your reply. I was concentrating on RLC layer too as I was kind of disappointed to have this information from MAC layer as I explained the reason in my question. Also I started a bit working on other LTE simulator "LTE-Sim" where you can have the access to the Queue size easier from MAC layer but NS3 always is a better choice.

I am working on the links that you game me.

Dear Marco,

After working on this issue, I updated my question. I appreciate if you can look at that (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/ns-3-users/sV1-pIpkF3w)

Thanks
