Hello Everyone!

I want to evaluate the performance (packet loss, delay, node energy consumption) of WSN (IEEE 802.15.4  beacon-enabled mode) so i want to know that:

(1) Is the IEEE 802.15.4 beacon-enabled mode supported by ns3?
(2) Is there any model available of IEEE 80.2.15.4?

Thanks!

Hi,

no beacon-enabled mode in ns-3 (yet), sorry.
If someone would work on it, I'd be extremely happy to provide support and review the code.

About other implementations... no idea.

Dear Tommaso

I realize this is a slightly old post, but I see no point to open a new topic, since I am not really asking anything

I am currently working on the implementation of beacon enabled mode. If it is necessary to coordinate with somebody from the ns-3 developers group please let me know, otherwise I will just follow the procedures necessary for the submition in the upcoming months. (I’ve been working on it for a month now but several necessary pieces are missing on the current implementation in ns-3, added to the often vague and confusing explanation of the standard making me take longer than I initially expected).

Dear Tommaso

I'm currently working on implementing IEEE 802.15.4e-2012(DSME) / IEEE802.15.4g-2012(SUN-FSK, SUN-OFDM) model for my project.
I'm trying to implement my own MAC and PHY Model refering IEEE 802.15.4-2015.
However since there are already existing model(IEEE 802.15.4-2006). Would this cause any issues such as conflict with existing models?

I'm not quite sure about code contribution process yet.
If there is guideline for it, please let me know.

Thanks!
