Installing NS-3 on Ubuntu 24.04 in WSL on Windows 10

I installed Ubuntu 24.04 on Windows 10 via WSL and now want to install NS-3. Which version of NS-3 is suitable for this environment? I have tried some old installation methods but was unsuccessful. If anyone has experience with this, please share a step-by-step process for installing NS-3.

The best thing I can point you to is the official manual... https://www.nsnam.org/docs/installation/html/index.html

As for the release, the suggested one is always the latest one - unless you have very specific reasons to not to.
