Please what does timesForwarded stands for in a flow monitor result? Does it have any relationship with the number of hops? If yes, how?

Contains the number of times a packet has been reportedly forwarded, summed for all received packets in the flow.
and the presentation of FlowMonitor here on how you can use those statistics.
