Codec implementation in GNS3 for an LTE architecture

Dear all,

I would like to compare the performance of different G-Group coder-decoders (codecs) used with Voice over IP (VoIP), for an LTE architecture.

So I would like to know if such codecs:

-       - G.711 - Also known as Pulse Code Modulation PCM

-      - - G. 723: uses Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation or ADPCM

-       - G 7.29

Are already implemented in NS3 or I have to develop those model using an OnOffApplication.

No, none of the above codecs are implemented in NS-3.

However, you can use NS-3 DCE to evaluate those codecs with real applications implementing them on a simulated environment.
