[Full disclosure: I'm one of the original authors of this commercial add-on to STK.]
AGI recently announced an
upcoming webinar for STK Networking, a new module that supports co-simulation with ns-3. The module allows you to use STK's mobility, antenna gain patterns, and wireless signal propagation loss models in the physical layer but retain use of ns-3 modeling for MAC, protocol, and network application models -- as well as the wired physical layer of the ground segment network. This is especially useful for ns-3 users interested in simulating LEO and MEO satellite constellations, UAV networks, and high-altitude platform systems.
The ns-3 portion of the integration is open-source and we plan to contribute it to the main ns-3 tree in the near future to enable use of 3rd party physical layer path loss models via RPC, which is backed by a local cache.

| Join AGI and Alanax Technologies to explore STK Networking.
STK Networking enables scenarios with STK Communications link modeling to be utilized in ns3 discrete-event network simulations, which can model network protocols, multi-hop routing, and together can assess the performance of end-to-end traffic flows across land, sea, air, and space.
