Hi everybody,
I am trying to setup a simulation with ns-3 and lena with an application that rarely sends traffic (i.e. once an hour, or once a day and so on). I followed the provided example on how to create an application and how to create a random traffic generator. I have 2 questions.
When I increase the time between 2 transmission also simulation time increases, even if I keep the same number of transmissions. I thought that this is due to the fact that other events are scheduled by the simulator between 2 consecutive transmission, indeed the files "DlRsrpSinrStats.txt" and "UlSinrStats.txt" show a measurement every fraction of second, making me think that the simulation time increases because of these measurements. However, if I don't tx for hours, I don't need them, and also the simulation time would get huge. How can I turn them off? Or what am I doing wrong?
Second question: I would like to disconnect the ue from the bs and connect it again when it has something to transmit, but I cannot find how it can be done (and if it can be done) with the current lena code.
Thank you very much for your attention!
