Waf command not working

Hello all,

Im very new to NS-3 and still trying to get the hang of this tool.

if I run a command such as "./ns3 run scratch/myfirst.cc" , there does not seem to be any errors.

But if I try to run "./waf -- run" anything I get an error that says there is no such option as run. Yet I see alot of people using this command.

I was wondering what Im doing wrong or not understanding.

This is where I wish I could find someone online for some online Q&A or classes on this product. Ive been going thru the materials\tutorials from the site but its sometimes a bit overwhelming.

You seem to have a newer version of ns3 (ie. > ns3.36) as ./ns3 command is working fine. waf is a python-based build tool for older versions of ns3 so don't worry about it
