Hello,
I have read the paper and the powerpoint regarding FlowMonitor and find it very interesting.  I ran the myglobalrouting code (attached below) and have ran it successfully.  However, there is an error while turning on the flow monitor.

1.  I tried turning the Flow Monitor from the command line, but it gives an error saying "Terminated with signal SIGSEGV".

2. Once the Flow Monitor is enable, what program do I use to see the flow monitor.  I have NetAnim installed in my Ubuntu.  Is there any other program to open it as well?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

the error is, by the look of it, an unitialized pointer. I can't say more from a screenshot.

About how to use FlowMonitor data, they're in XML format. Check the FlowMonitor manual about it.
Yes, there's a FlowMonitor manual... in ns-3.20.

Cheers,

T.

Hi Tommaso,
Thank you for your reply.  I have actually looked over the pointers in the code and can't figure what to change to fix this SIGSEGV error.  I have attached the code and would really appreciate your help if possible.

Also, regarding FlowMonitor, you are correct that it's in a XML format, but what program do I use to see the packet flow and all.  Is there a program that I need to run the XML file?  I have checked everything online for this and still having trouble.  Would really appreciate your help.

Thanks

For the first question, run it under the debugger as the output suggests

For the second, analysing the flowmonitor output can be done with NetAnim
or within your scenario as explained in the discussion here

Thanks Konstantinos. I will try this.
