implement clustering on OLSR

Hi all,

I want to implement clustering on the OLSR protocol that is already implemented in ns3. The main things that I need to do are : 1) do election for the cluster head 2) then select the MPR nodes that will connect the cluster heads with each other. This should be done by using the HELLO messages exchanged by the nodes.  Can some one guide me in this issue. From where shall I start.

Hi Doaa,

You should start from the beginning... no, seriously. 

I would recommend studying a guide on how to develop a new protocol in NS-3 as described in this discussion

For your zero step, you should also add "Understand the OLSR standard, understand OLSR NS-3 implementation, identify required changes" and then move to the design/implementation.
