Hi all,

Can anyone explain me trace files DlRsrpSinrStats.txt , UlSinrStats.txt and UlInterferenceStats.txt ?  What is sinr and sinrLinear mentioned in trace file mean ?
Is it in absolute scale ? If so, how come I am getting sinrLinera as 7920.46.

It is quite confusing for me. Please help?

Thanks,
Aisha

Hi,

Sinr is reported linear scale in the traces you are asked about. The value might be generated due to many reasons (e.g., unrealistic scenario with UE and eNB in the same position), if you may post a simulation script reproducing the behavior is would be better for evaluating it.

Regards,
marco.

Hi there,

I have used the lena-dual-stripes.cc provided by LENA module. I am attaching the trace files which I got. In UlSinrStats, one can see that maximum of 62594.9 as SINR which is unrealistic. Please check if same thing happens with you. I am using ns-3.17.

Thanks

HI,

your script is not working in ns-3-dev:

I tried with standard lena-dual-stripe and it seems that it works normally. There is only a high value for cell 13   IMSI 4   UE 1 (4378 ~ 37 dB) probably due to proximity to its HeNB.

Hi marco,

I don't know why it's not working. I have not changed anything, just included the EnablePhyTraces to observe the SINR behaviour. I just want to ask that can a sinr of 50dB is acceptable for uplink with the closest distance it can go is 35m within the range of eNB. UE is transmitting at 23dBm, BW = 10 MHz, MS height= 1.5m, BS height = 32.0m, and pathloss = 15.3+37.6logR  (r in meters). I hope i didn't miss anything.

Hi,

of course it seems not correct, but since it is not possible to reproduce the behavior, it is quite difficult to investigate on it.

marco.

62594.9 in linear means around 47.9 dB. It is realistic.

Thanks Nicola,

I was really  confused as I found that SINR can't be that much high as observed from a 3GPP document. Thanks for this information.

Hi,

Sorry to trouble you. I have a question. How to convert sinrLinear into dB?  Thanks.

BR,
Season
