Alternative to WifiRadioEnergyModel

Hello,

Is there an alternative to WifiRadioEnergyModel to simulate mobile devices? I have had several problems with the model, it has a problem with excessive memory usage when simulating (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/ns-3-users/scoHXqFcjE0/lL4IhwfOCQAJ) and now I have problems with it because it does not calculate well the remaining energy of the devices, leaving them in an OFF state when it still has power and continue sending packets.
