The association between OnOffApplication parameters setting

I would like to ask the question on OnOffApplication, is related to the parameters MaxBytes and DataRate.

Assuming that the Simulation Stop time is 1000 seconds, MaxBytes = 1Gbytes.

When my DataRate is set to 10Mbps, the Tx / Rx bytes generated by the flowMonitor will stop at 1G.

However, when the DataRate is set to 100Mbps, the FlowMonitor's Tx / Rx bytes will stop at 44Mbytes.

Would you ask why is this? Is there anything relevant?
