Hi friends,

I am a new user of NS3. I am not good at C++ too. I have assignments given by my professor.

The first part of my assignment is to create 2-nodes wireless adhoc network at a fixed distance.

The next assignments are scheduled like this:

2. Install all the relevant network stacks, up to and including UDP.

3. Setup a unidirectional (Constant Bit Rate) transmission between the nodes,
one acting as a server and one as a client. Saturate the medium.

4. Setup counters and outputs for packets sent and received. Use the flow
monitor for the throughput.

5. Schedule the simulation to run for enough time to obtain statistically relevant
results (suggestion: analyze some test results and reduce the simulation time
accordingly).

Would you please help me to create & understand the assignments step by step? There are examples in the examples folder of NS3. But those are hard to understand for me as I am not good at C++.

Friends please help me to do this. I want to make myself all the things clear (I do not want to just copy from internet and submit my assignment).

Hi Nazmul,

I would suggest to study the tutorial.
It explains all the steps in details and it will make the understanding of the examples much easier.

Since this is a school assignment, we can not help you much, as it would be unfair for other students.

Have you considered looking at the NS-3 website?
https://www.nsnam.org/documentation/

You can find the official tutorial (that should be your first read), the manual,
other users' tutorials on specific topics, videos from training and other useful information.
