Hi all,

let me introduce myself... I'm a PhD student which thesis tackles Network Coding and TCP. Currently I'm adapting some bursty error channels models (which were originally coded for NS-2), but in a short term I'll need to deploy a whole architecture in order to assess the feasibility of NC with TCP in a wireless (e.g. IEEE 802.11) scenario. I've read that the TCP SACK "flavour" is actually being implemented, so I'd like to know its current status (if any of the authors or somebody else with any kind of knowledge about the development)

Excuse me for my awful English, and thank you in advance,
David

Is there any updates on when TCP SACK will be available for ns3?

There is a testing branch with the SACK code that will be included (hopefully) in ns-3 after the next release.

The code is located here: https://github.com/kronat/ns-3-dev-git/tree/tcp-sack

(the option is disabled by default, so you need to enable it through Config::Set)

Great, thanks! How do I know which files are needed? I am assuming they are the tcp-options-sack.cc and .h in src/internet/model.

Are needed.. to do what?

It includes many changes on many components, so it is better to port your work on top of that, instead of backporting everything.
