bash ./waf : permission denied

Hello All,

I have installed ns3.11 in Ubuntu 11. But when I am trying to build
any example program I am getting error as shown:

bash ./waf : permission denied.

Please help me in solving this error.

Hi,

Check the owner of your "installed" ns-3. 

Verify if is the same user, i.e., are you owner of your ns-3?

You're probably missing an executable flag. chmod +x will do the trick.

Hi,

I had the same issue, while trying to install it. Try installing NS3 in the home folder (A "repos" folder) than any other folder (Desktop in my case).

Hello All,

I have installed ns3.17 in Ubuntu 12.04 But when i try to run an example file by using waf --run command it is showing following threat.I have got my installation in home directory.

Hello,

I had the same problem. And here is my tips:
1. Open the directory of ns-3.
2. Right-click on "waf" file > Properties > Permissions > Tick on "Execution: Allow to..."

I met this problem when i download a version ns3 by the google's source.
I have launched the version ns3 on githut without any changes.
