Dear All,

I want to simulate secuirty overhead and effect of authentication protocols RFID networks in ns-3 but am new to network simulators. Can we simulate RFID network in ns-3? If yes then how to choose the physical characteristics of RFID networks?

Thanks

Ikram

As far as I know, there is no direct support for RFID in ns-3.

Hi all and particularly francesco,

:(, what other simulator(s) can I use? Can I use ns-2 or qualnet? I am not concern with the physical layer of RFID networks. So, is it logical to use MAC layer IEEE 802.11 for simulating RFID networks?

Kindly help me and providing a drift in my research.

Regards,

I feel you should ask this your professor/supervisor/whatever, but if
a student asked this to me, I would answer NO: RFID and IEEE 802.11
PHY and MAC layers are way too different.
If you feel like implementing RFID on your own, look at
